Day 1

Welcome to Cairo

Ahlan wa sahlan, and welcome to Cairo — the gateway to the ancient wonders of Egypt!

Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, a local representative will meet you airside before immigration, assisting you swiftly through the formalities. After collecting your luggage, you’ll be welcomed by your private English-speaking driver and transferred in comfort to your handpicked boutique hotel for a restful start to your journey.

Take the rest of the day to unwind after your flight, or soak in your first glimpses of this bustling, history-steeped metropolis.

3 nights in Cairo – stay in the hotel standard you choose

Day 2

Egyptian Museum and Cairo Highlights

With your private Egyptologist by your side, dive deep into the fascinating treasures of the Egyptian Museum — including Tutankhamun’s golden mask and millennia-old relics.

Continue to the elevated Citadel of Saladin, where the panoramic views are just as captivating as the mosques and museums inside. End the day wandering the vibrant alleys of Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s historic bazaar brimming with spices, silver, and stories.

Breakfast included

Day 3

The Great Pyramids of Giza

Rise early for a step back through time. Start with the ancient necropolis of Memphis and the Step Pyramid of Djoser — the architectural blueprint for all that followed.

Next, the Giza Plateau: a sweeping desert expanse where the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos rise in perfect geometry. Gaze up at the Great Sphinx, eternally watching, as your guide reveals the stories behind the stones.

Return to your hotel with time to relax, reflect, or dine independently.

Breakfast included

Day 4

Cairo to Luxor – Embark the Nile

Fly south to Luxor, the gateway to Upper Egypt. On arrival, meet your local team and transfer to your handpicked river cruise boat.

After settling in, join your onboard Egyptologist for a guided visit to Luxor Temple, then cross to the West Bank to explore the stunning Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and descend into the Valley of the Kings.

Deluxe and Indulgence guests enjoy special access to Tutankhamun’s tomb.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included
4 nights aboard a boutique Nile cruise – Comfort, Deluxe or Indulgence cabins

Day 5

The Majesty of Karnak and Esna Lock

This morning, visit Karnak — the world’s largest religious complex — where pylons, statues and sacred pools transport you into the heart of ancient Thebes.

After lunch, back onboard, cruise toward Esna. Deluxe and Indulgence guests can savour afternoon tea as timeless riverside scenes glide past — donkeys, date palms, farmers waving from the fields.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included

Day 6

Temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo

Begin with a morning visit to the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus, one of Egypt’s most strikingly preserved sanctuaries. Back onboard, Deluxe and Indulgence travellers can join an Egyptian cooking class with the ship’s chef.

In the afternoon, visit Kom Ombo’s twin temple — one side for the falcon god Horus, the other for the crocodile god Sobek — dramatically perched above the Nile.

Evening entertainment rounds off the day as you sail into Aswan.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included

Day 7

Sacred Islands and Farewell on the Nile

Glide across the water by motorboat to reach Philae Temple — a picturesque island sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Isis. Later, visit the massive unfinished obelisk still lying in the ancient granite quarry, offering insight into how these giants were shaped.

After lunch, those who wish can board a traditional felucca (sailboat) for a peaceful drift around Elephantine Island.

Tonight’s farewell dinner celebrates the journey so far, with a gala-style event for Deluxe and Indulgence guests.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included.

Day 8

Cross Continents – Fly to Jordan

Say goodbye to Egypt and board your flight to Amman, Jordan via Cairo. A new local representative greets you upon arrival, providing swift assistance through immigration and a warm welcome to the Hashemite Kingdom.

Your driver then escorts you to your boutique hotel on the Dead Sea, where silence and salt-rich waters await.

DEAD SEA EXPERIENCE

Day 9

Rest, Replenish, Reconnect

This is your wellness chapter — a restorative pause mid-journey.

Breakfast included

Day 10

Wadi Rum and Arrival in Petra

After breakfast, head deep into the surreal landscapes of Wadi Rum. In a private 4×4 with your Bedouin driver, cross rust-hued sand dunes and vast silence — a scene straight from The Martian (which was filmed here).

Later, continue to Petra and check in at your hotel. Tomorrow, one of the world’s most extraordinary sights awaits.

We had the most incredible experience with Click and Trip for our Vietnam and Cambodia holiday. They were so helpful pre-departure customising and adding extras we requested to our itinerary. As well as helping us organise our visas for our destinations. All our guides were so friendly and welcoming and made the whole experience so effortless and enjoyable. The activities were amazing and so diverse in each city and our accomodation in Cambodia was a real stand out. I can not recommend Click and Trip more highly and there offering in the travel market is truely unlike anything I have seen. Book with them, you will not regret it.

Well, thats New York done and dusted !!.What a fabulous time we had. I wanted to email you to thank especially Rosie,Holly and the clickandtrip team for your organisation of our trip. It exceeded our expectations and I will be telling anyone who listens or asks to use your company and yourself. The details and instructions regarding the travelling details were clear and concise. The transfers from flights to drivers to and from airport/hotel seemless. I cannot thank you enough. Your response to any questions was prompt and clear ( and I had a lot of questions). Thank you all for a wonderful holiday we will remember forever. Kind regards Susan Hocken

Nyssa at Click and Trip was super helpful and knowledgeable. I gave her an overview of what my wife and I were looking to do in a 5 week trip around Australia and she compiled an intenerary that accomplished that, but also had a plethora of suggestions of places to see and activities that I would never have known. We also had to change our plans towards the end of our trip and she was able to sort that out hassle free for me. I have already given her details to friends and family that are thinking of touring Oz and I will not hesitate to use Click and Trip again for any trips to other destinations that may take my fancy in the future.

🌸✨ Just returned from our 2nd unforgettable trip with Click and Trip - a 2 week adventure through Japan. From the serene Meiji Shrine to the bustling Shibuya Crossing, the magical Teamlab Borderless, thrilling Tokyo Street Go Carting, and the enchanting Disneysea 🌊🎢, every moment was meticulously planned. We explored traditional gems like Takayama and Shirakawa-go 🏯, marvelled at Kenroku-en garden's beauty 🌿, and indulged in Wagyu at Bungo Gion 🥩. Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Shrine and the serene Kiyomizu-dera temple were highlights, as was dressing up in a kimono and strolling through Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka Streets 👘🌸. Click and Trip took care of everything – from tickets 🎫, transfers 🚕, luxury hotels 🏨, to private guides 🗺️. They even helped us avoid the crowds with their insider tips and perfect itineraries. The Japan Explorer package was a dream, especially the stay in a traditional Ryokan in Takayama, offering Kyoto’s charm minus the crowds 🏡✨. For a seamless, crowd-free, and unforgettable Japan experience, I can't recommend Click and Trip enough! 🌟

We had a fantastic trip to Vietnam with Click & Trip; I can't recommend this service highly enough, it takes the stress out of booking and planning a trip, and ensures you are locked into the best tours, hotels and transport for your time away (so you don't have to worry about getting dates and times right or booking an Air BnB that doesn't exist). It feels like a much more bespoke experience than previous travel agencies I've used, so if you get the chance to use them for your next trip, definitely do!

Your Questions Answered

This isn’t a group tour with matching lanyards and hurried photo stops — it’s a journey crafted entirely for you (and whoever you bring along). From the moment you touch down in Cairo to your final farewell in Amman, you’ll have a private driver and local guides dedicated to your experience alone. The only time you’ll share space with others is aboard the Nile cruise, where sightseeing is conducted in small, relaxed groups led by your onboard Egyptologist.

You’ll choose from three carefully curated options: Comfort, Deluxe, or Indulgence. All hotels and Nile cruises are handpicked for style, location, and atmosphere — whether you prefer the simplicity of a chic boutique hotel or the elegance of a five-star spa retreat. The experience is flexible at every tier, and we only partner with properties we know and trust.

Absolutely. Egypt & Jordan Unveiled was designed with first-time visitors in mind — travellers who want depth without overwhelm. You’ll see the icons (hello, Pyramids and Petra) but also have space to breathe, rest and absorb. With private transfers, insider guides and well-paced days, you’ll feel looked after from start to finish.

You’ll fly into Cairo International Airport and out from Amman (Queen Alia International Airport). Popular airlines servicing these routes from Australia include Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad, Singapore Airlines and Qantas. Some travellers use points or stop over in Dubai or Doha — we can help tailor flights around your preferences or leave them flexible if you’d rather book independently.

Yes — and more than one. In Cairo and Jordan, you’ll enjoy your own dedicated English-speaking driver-guide. Along the Nile, you’ll join other cruise guests for small-group temple visits with a shared Egyptologist. This balance gives you private attention where it matters most, and a more social, relaxed feel aboard the boat — perfect for watching the sun go down over the river with a glass of something cold in hand.

It’s perfect for both. Solo travellers often tell us how empowering and enriching this itinerary feels — with full support, tailored pacing and total freedom to explore. Couples love the romantic contrasts: sharing sunrise at Petra one day, then floating side by side in the Dead Sea the next. Whichever way you travel, we make it seamless.

Yes, and no — it’s not swimming as you know it. The mineral-rich water is ten times saltier than the ocean, making it impossible to sink. You’ll float effortlessly, usually giggling the whole time, while the mud (if you’re brave enough to slather it on) leaves your skin silky smooth. It’s both bizarre and brilliant — and yes, it’s all safe and supervised.

Petra involves a fair bit of walking, but it’s at your own pace. Most travellers explore the main trail on foot — it’s wide, gradual, and incredibly scenic. If you’d like to reach the Monastery (El Deir), it’s a steep 800-step climb — optional but rewarding. In Wadi Rum, you’ll be exploring by 4×4 with a local Bedouin driver, so no major trekking required — just good shoes, a sense of adventure, and maybe a scarf for the desert breeze.

Absolutely. Want to upgrade to a hot air balloon over Luxor? Add a cooking class in Amman? Rest an extra day at the Dead Sea? We’ll fine-tune the itinerary to suit your travel rhythm and interests. It’s your journey — we’re just here to make it feel effortless.

Yes — every Egypt & Jordan Unveiled holiday begins with a conversation, not a checkout cart. Simply click the “Tailor This Trip” button at the top of the page to get started. From there, you can call our Brisbane-based team on 1300 833 149, send an email to contact@clickandtrip.com.au, live chat with a travel expert, or fill out a short enquiry form.

We’ll walk you through the options — from hotel standards to extra experiences — and refine the itinerary until it fits like a glove. At Click and Trip, great journeys always start with a human touch. This one’s no exception.
