Ahlan wa sahlan, and welcome to Cairo — the gateway to ancient civilisation!

Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, a local representative will meet you airside before immigration, assisting you smoothly through the arrival formalities. From there, your private English-speaking driver will transfer you in air-conditioned comfort to your handpicked boutique hotel for a restful start to your journey.

Take the rest of the day to relax — perhaps enjoy a quiet rooftop cocktail or soak in your first glimpses of Cairo’s energetic charm.

Cairo’s Cultural Core – Museums, Mosques and Markets

Dive into the stories of Egypt with your private Egyptologist by your side. Begin with the Egyptian Museum — a treasure trove of golden relics, royal mummies, and the astonishing mask of Tutankhamun.

Continue to the citadel perched high above the city, where the alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali reflects Cairo’s Islamic grandeur. End the day exploring Khan El Khalili, a buzzing labyrinth of spice stalls, lantern-lit alleys and artisan workshops — perfect for souvenir hunting or simply soaking up the atmosphere.

Pyramids, Sphinx and the Sands of Time

Today is one of those ‘pinch me’ moments. Journey out with your guide to Saqqara, where Egypt’s oldest pyramid — the stepped tomb of Djoser — marks the birth of monumental architecture.

Next, head to the Giza Plateau. Standing before the towering pyramids, you’ll feel their magic echo across millennia. Gaze up at the Great Sphinx, still guarding the sands after 4,000 years. Return to the hotel with timeless memories and a deepened sense of wonder.

Cairo to Luxor – Nile Cruise Embarkation

This morning, fly south to Luxor, once known as Thebes — the capital of the ancient world. Upon arrival, meet your local team and transfer to your boutique Nile cruise.

Depending on your boat’s schedule, explore Luxor Temple today or simply relax on deck as the river unfolds before you.

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are included.

Day 5

Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut and Colossi of Memnon

Cross to Luxor’s West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings — the final resting place of Egypt’s most powerful rulers. Deluxe and Indulgence travellers enjoy special entry to Tutankhamun’s tomb.

Next, visit the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, carved into the cliffs, and stop at the towering Colossi of Memnon on your return.

Day 6

Karnak and Afternoon Sail to Edfu

After breakfast, discover the grandeur of Karnak Temple, a sprawling open-air museum of columns, shrines and sacred lakes.

Back on board, cruise peacefully toward Edfu, passing palm-lined banks and riverside villages. Afternoon tea is served for Deluxe and Indulgence guests as the sun begins to dip over the Nile.

Day 7

Edfu, Kom Ombo and Sunset on the Nile

This morning, step into mythology at Edfu Temple, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus. Back on board, relax with lunch and onward sailing.

Later, dock at Kom Ombo, a rare twin temple honouring Sobek (the crocodile god) and Horus the Elder. Deluxe and Indulgence guests can enjoy a hands-on Egyptian cooking class today with the onboard chef.

Day 8

Philae Temple, Felucca Ride & Return to Cairo

Disembark in Aswan for a motorboat ride to the magical Temple of Philae, devoted to the goddess Isis. Visit the nearby granite quarries to view the immense Unfinished Obelisk.

Time permitting, drift past Elephantine Island aboard a traditional felucca (sailboat) before flying back to Cairo.

Farewell Egypt

After breakfast, your private driver and local representative will escort you to Cairo International Airport, assisting with all departure formalities.

They were so helpful pre-departure customising and adding extras we requested to our itinerary. As well as helping us organise our visas for our destinations. All our guides were so friendly and welcoming and made the whole experience so effortless and enjoyable. The activities were amazing and so diverse in each city and our accomodation in Cambodia was a real stand out. I gave her an overview of what my wife and I were looking to do in a 5 week trip around Australia and she compiled an intenerary that accomplished that, but also had a plethora of suggestions of places to see and activities that I would never have known.
We also had to change our plans towards the end of our trip and she was able to sort that out hassle free for me.
I have already given her details to friends and family that are thinking of touring Oz and I  will not hesitate to use Click and Trip again for any trips to other destinations that may take my fancy in the future.

From exploring stunning temples and lush rice terraces to thrilling ATV rides through the countryside, every day was a new adventure. Highlights included visiting the Ubud Monkey Forest, ATV’s, Elephant Sanctuary and the adrenaline of swinging over rice terraces.

What made this trip extra special was our local guides which allowed us to really enjoy our time together as a group. We shared laughs, stories, and unforgettable moments that will last a lifetime. From the serene Meiji Shrine to the bustling Shibuya Crossing, the magical Teamlab Borderless, thrilling Tokyo Street Go Carting, and the enchanting Disneysea 🌊🎢, every moment was meticulously planned.
We explored traditional gems like Takayama and Shirakawa-go 🏯, marvelled at Kenroku-en garden's beauty 🌿, and indulged in Wagyu at Bungo Gion 🥩. Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Shrine and the serene Kiyomizu-dera temple were highlights, as was dressing up in a kimono and strolling through Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka Streets 👘🌸.
