Discovering Shanghai

This morning, step into the heart of Shanghai with your private guide. Begin along the Bund, where elegant art deco buildings face a futuristic skyline across the Huangpu River — the perfect introduction to a city that bridges old and new.

A Day at Leisure

Today is yours to explore at your own rhythm. For family fun, dive into the magical world of Shanghai Disneyland. For culture, step inside the Shanghai Museum or stroll the leafy boulevards of the French Concession, lined with chic boutiques, artisan cafés, and heritage mansions. Or, ascend the Oriental Pearl Tower for sweeping city views that stretch into tomorrow’s horizon.

Day 4

Fly to Chengdu

After breakfast, your private driver will escort you to the airport for your flight to Chengdu, gateway to Sichuan and home of the beloved giant pandas. Indulgence travellers will enjoy the comfort of business-class seating.

On arrival, your local guide will welcome you and accompany you to your boutique hotel. This afternoon, Deluxe and Indulgence travellers will explore People’s Park, where locals sip fragrant jasmine tea, play traditional instruments, and gather for lively conversations — a perfect glimpse into the warmth of Chengdu life.

Day 5

Pandas and the Journey to Xi’an

This morning brings a highlight — the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. Watch these gentle giants as they tumble, play, and feast on bamboo in leafy enclosures designed to mimic their mountain habitats. Learn about conservation efforts that protect this endangered species and capture moments that will stay with you forever.

Later, board China’s impressive high-speed bullet train to Xi’an, racing across the countryside at breathtaking speeds. Comfort travellers will be seated in second class, while Deluxe and Indulgence guests enjoy first or business class. On arrival, your guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 6

Terracotta Army & Xi’an’s Old City

Step back over two thousand years as you encounter the Terracotta Army, one of the world’s most extraordinary archaeological finds. Your guide’s storytelling will bring this ancient world vividly to life.

Train to Beijing

After a leisurely morning, your private driver will take you to the station for your bullet train to Beijing, a smooth five-hour journey that reveals glimpses of rural China along the way. On arrival, your Beijing guide will be waiting to escort you to your hotel. The evening is free to explore at your own pace — perhaps a twilight walk through bustling Wangfujing Street, famous for its market stalls and flavours.

The Great Wall & Summer Palace

They were so helpful pre-departure customising and adding extras we requested to our itinerary. As well as helping us organise our visas for our destinations. All our guides were so friendly and welcoming and made the whole experience so effortless and enjoyable. The activities were amazing and so diverse in each city and our accomodation in Cambodia was a real stand out. I gave her an overview of what my wife and I were looking to do in a 5 week trip around Australia and she compiled an intenerary that accomplished that, but also had a plethora of suggestions of places to see and activities that I would never have known.
We also had to change our plans towards the end of our trip and she was able to sort that out hassle free for me.
I have already given her details to friends and family that are thinking of touring Oz and I  will not hesitate to use Click and Trip again for any trips to other destinations that may take my fancy in the future.

From exploring stunning temples and lush rice terraces to thrilling ATV rides through the countryside, every day was a new adventure. Highlights included visiting the Ubud Monkey Forest, ATV’s, Elephant Sanctuary and the adrenaline of swinging over rice terraces.

What made this trip extra special was our local guides which allowed us to really enjoy our time together as a group. We shared laughs, stories, and unforgettable moments that will last a lifetime. We explored traditional gems like Takayama and Shirakawa-go 🏯, marvelled at Kenroku-en garden's beauty 🌿, and indulged in Wagyu at Bungo Gion 🥩. Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Shrine and the serene Kiyomizu-dera temple were highlights, as was dressing up in a kimono and strolling through Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka Streets 👘🌸.
