Upon arrival at Hanoi Airport, your private English-speaking driver will be waiting in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. You’ll be transferred in comfort to your handpicked boutique hotel for a restful start to your journey.

A Glimpse into Hanoi’s Heritage

Meet your personal guide this morning and step into the rhythms of Hanoi’s past and present. Begin at the imposing Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, then visit the elegant One Pillar Pagoda — a delicate wooden temple rising from a stone pillar like a blooming lotus.

Continue to the Temple of Literature, a peaceful sanctuary dedicated to Confucian learning. This afternoon, explore the Museum of Ethnology, where Vietnam’s diverse ethnic cultures are brought vividly to life.

Stroll through the atmospheric Old Quarter, with its maze of shop-lined alleys and timeworn guild streets, before ending the day with a captivating water puppet show — a centuries-old art form born in the rice paddies of the Red River Delta.

Limestone Valleys and Lost Dynasties

Leave the hum of Hanoi behind as your private driver takes you south to the mystical landscapes of Tràng An — a region of soaring karsts and winding waterways often described as “Halong Bay on land”.

Explore the ancient capital of Hoa Lư, where remnants of 10th-century dynasties rest peacefully among rice fields. Then drift along the quiet rivers of Tam Coc in a hand-rowed sampan, passing through natural limestone caves and beneath towering cliffs blanketed in lush jungle. The serenity here is breathtaking.

Sail into Halong Bay’s Dreamscape

This morning, journey east to the glittering waters of Halong Bay, one of Vietnam’s most iconic natural wonders. Board your boutique cruise vessel and set sail into a world of emerald seas and sculpted limestone islands.

As your ship glides between the islets, enjoy curated excursions, swimming or kayaking (depending on your cruise), or simply unwind with a drink on the sun deck. As the sun sets behind the karsts, dine on freshly prepared cuisine under the stars.

Day 5

Hoi An Beckons

Start your day with breakfast as the boat returns to harbour. After disembarking, your driver whisks you back to Hanoi for a short flight to Da Nang. On arrival, you’re met by another friendly face and transferred to the riverside town of Hoi An, a place where silk lanterns sway and ancient temples sit quietly beside artisan boutiques.

The evening is free to settle in, explore the lantern-lit streets, or enjoy a sunset drink by the Thu Bồn River.

Your Hoi An, Your Way

After soaking in the charm of Hoi An’s lantern-lit streets, these two full days are dedicated to exploring at your own pace — or not at all.

Day 7

Ba Na Hill with Golden Bridge

This morning, set out for Ba Na Hill with your English-speaking private guide and driver. Ba Na Hill is full of flora, fauna, and rare animals like Crested Argus, Asian Black Bear, and Northern Buffed-Cheeked Gibbon. Located at an elevation of 1,487 meters, it has cool temperatures all year round.

Ride on a modern system of cable cars to get a bird’s eye view of the surrounding area, before visiting some old French villas, a nearby Suspension Bridge, and a stunning Mountain Peak that extends 1,400 meters above sea level.

Next, walk along the famous Golden Bridge, supported by giant hands, you’ll feel like you are walking in the clouds.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Hoi An.

Day 9

Fly South to Ho Chi Minh City

This morning, your driver transfers you to Da Nang Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, another friendly face awaits to escort you to your central hotel.

Once the capital of French Indochina, today’s Ho Chi Minh City is a kaleidoscope of colonial charm, rooftop cocktails, buzzing markets, and motorbike rivers. Spend the afternoon as you wish — our booklet will guide you to the best street eats, cafés, and sights.

Day 10

Cruising the Mekong Delta

Head deep into the Mekong Delta, a vast patchwork of rivers, coconut groves, and floating villages. A private boat takes you through shaded canals where daily life unfolds gently on the water.

Enjoy lunch at a traditional homestay, meet local artisans, and sip honey tea while listening to folk songs under a thatched roof. Explore by bike or foot before cruising back to your vehicle for the return to Ho Chi Minh City.

This morning, join your guide for a walking journey through Saigon’s layered history. Marvel at the red-brick Notre Dame Cathedral, wander into the opulent Central Post Office, and visit the Reunification Palace, a time capsule of 1970s grandeur.

Conclude at the War Remnants Museum, where Vietnam’s complex past is laid bare. Return to your hotel with time to soak in your final evening — perhaps with a rooftop drink watching the skyline glow.

They were so helpful pre-departure customising and adding extras we requested to our itinerary. As well as helping us organise our visas for our destinations. All our guides were so friendly and welcoming and made the whole experience so effortless and enjoyable. The activities were amazing and so diverse in each city and our accomodation in Cambodia was a real stand out. I gave her an overview of what my wife and I were looking to do in a 5 week trip around Australia and she compiled an intenerary that accomplished that, but also had a plethora of suggestions of places to see and activities that I would never have known.
We also had to change our plans towards the end of our trip and she was able to sort that out hassle free for me.
I have already given her details to friends and family that are thinking of touring Oz and I  will not hesitate to use Click and Trip again for any trips to other destinations that may take my fancy in the future.

Highlights included visiting the Ubud Monkey Forest, ATV’s, Elephant Sanctuary and the adrenaline of swinging over rice terraces.

What made this trip extra special was our local guides which allowed us to really enjoy our time together as a group. We shared laughs, stories, and unforgettable moments that will last a lifetime. We explored traditional gems like Takayama and Shirakawa-go 🏯, marvelled at Kenroku-en garden's beauty 🌿, and indulged in Wagyu at Bungo Gion 🥩. Kyoto's Fushimi Inari Shrine and the serene Kiyomizu-dera temple were highlights, as was dressing up in a kimono and strolling through Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka Streets 👘🌸.
